VIEW CRITIQUE

Faith And when you told me
love is as eternal
as the sun's voyage in the sky

did you mean
love does not extend
into the night?

Does it stop, cease,
while the darkness enfolds?
Are we lost without our hearts illumined?

Or am I to accept
the moon as a replacement,
a facsimile of affection that waxes and wanes?

Or is this a test of my faith?
To see whether I still believe in the sun
even when I cannot see it.

VIEW CRITIQUE

Survivors +1 Winter on the Island is indiscernible from summer. Seasons melt into one another as time passes, perpetual warmth sweeping through the city in waves, as if the god of weather is trying to be as ordinary as possible. At times, the radiant blue sky is clouded, but there's no way of telling when it's going to open up and sob all over your yellow Alexander McQueen pumps. Rain is, quite literally, the most unpredictable thing for a thousand miles in every direction.
